Engraved Corian™
Corian engraves beautifully and can be color filled or not depending on the pattern chosen. Some patterns present a very nice albeit subtle contrast without a color fill while others need color to bring out the engraving. This is not an exact science but we do have a reasonable amount of experience with it. With over a 100 Corian patterns available it’s often times difficult to know if color will be needed for a particular design until the engraving has been done. Due to its cost and availability we only engrave Corian on a special order basis. It is a somewhat difficult and time consuming process but once it’s engraved, color filled (or not) and finished it is very nearly indestructible and will last for generations. We have manufactured coasters, trivets, plaques and more using this special material in both 1/4" and 1/2" thicknesses. Our coasters are normally 4” square, trivets are 6” square and plaques can be virtually any reasonable size. Coasters come with 1/16" thick cork bottoms to protect fine furniture finishes and trivets are outfitted with (4) no-slip feet. This is a 12" x 9" x 1/4" thick Corian plaque with ogee edges color filled in green. Edge treatments can range from a simple bevel to our "chisled edge" effect although Corian in 1/4" thickness does limit those options somewhat.
